The Langdales | Family Session, Sebastopol

When I think back to my childhood, there's one part of it that truly sticks out in my mind...my brother. Even though we have 4.5 years between us, we still grew up as best friends. We'd play, we'd fight, we'd wrestle, and we'd laugh until our insides hurt. That's the magic of having a sibling, you get to share every moment of life with them. When they hurt, you hurt. When they are excited, you're excited. They are generally the yin to your yang.

Last weekend I had the incredible opportunity to photograph my first (ever!) fall mini session. I picked a small apple farm in Sebastopol, not only for the incredible apple trees, but mainly for the light. The light was perfect. Photographing these two sisters made my heart happy. It was the kind of session that makes you feel good from the moment you start. The kind that makes you want to dump the photos the second you get home just so you can look at them on a big screen. The kind that makes you remember what being a kid is all about; these types of moments. The moments these girls will look back on in 20 years and (hopefully) recall as an awesome afternoon spent twirling through an apple orchard with their sister.
